7 Arrows Academy is a residential private school located near Tallahassee on Florida’s Gulf Coast. The tranquil 100-acre campus includes a school with well-equipped technology lab, vocational training facilities, equestrian stables, climbing tower, and sports fields. Close proximity to the Gulf of Mexico offers outstanding opportunities for recreational activities and environmental exploration.

7 Arrows Academy provides the opportunity for young men, ages 13-17, to live and learn in a safe and secure environment. Your child will continue to formalize his education, enhance his physical well-being and recover from the detrimental effects of unhealthy risk taking and other high risk disorders and behaviors.

Our campus is safe and secure, so students can then focus their energies on positive lifestyle changes. All the basics to ensure your child’s health and well-being are covered at 7 Arrows Academy: nutritious meals, an on-site health clinic, daily physical fitness activities, and access to a full range of mental health services. Every student has a therapist with whom he regularly meets, and a personalized treatment plan to address individual issues and needs.

On a daily basis, your child will be surrounded by challenges and opportunities. He will experience new ways of behaving and see potential new directions in life. Every student has the continual encouragement of our professional staff to help overcome barriers, and a program structure that supports him in staying focused and engaged.

Our unique Extraordinary Experiences are exciting adventures that allow young people to learn by doing. Our students’ involvement with horses in Equine Assisted Therapy expands their understanding of relationships and personal power. Your child will learn about cognitive-behavioral problem-solving strategies with his or her therapist. There are daily opportunities to practice these new attitudes and skills with others within the school community.

Your child will attend an on-site school where educators are responsive to each student’s unique needs and advanced computer-based learning is utilized. There are a variety of vocational training options where students can gain real work experience. The staff helps every young person to develop the skills and supports to be successful when they leave the program, and help each student to chart a course to a future of honor and pride.

The Academy’s approach is long-term, realizing that most of our students have been in and out of other short-term treatment programs. The Academy staff recommends a twelve month/ full academic school year commitment from the student and family. From that point, an assessment of future needs will be determined with an option for continued success resulting in high school graduation and college enrollment.
